Thales: Wins bid for Phase II of the MEOSAR Ground Segment contract
The EXA Consulting Group congratulates Thales Canada on winning its bid for the Phase II of the MEOSAR (Medium Earth Orbit Search and Rescue) Ground Segment contract. The Thales system will allow air, land, and sea Search and Rescue operators in 43 countries, including Canada, to locate distress signals much sooner and more accurately than is possible now.
The EXA Consulting Group supported Thales Canada in proposal leadership for the MEOSAR Phase II program. The system will use the Thales Alenia Space’s MEOLUT Next phased array solution – an order of magnitude advancement in technology over the current arrangements.
“Although not the largest program we have worked on,” Alex McPhail, President of the EXA Consulting Group explained, “it was still challenging because the solution Thales offered was so advanced. We demonstrated the leading-edge capabilities and performance of the Thales solution while assuring the end client of the system’s proven reliability.”
EXA provided proposal support on this program and was instrumental in delivering solution development and coordination between Thales Canada and Thales Alenia Space.
